My life has been anything but a straight line!

 

I have been a teacher on and off for over 20 years. While I always loved working with children, I quickly became exhausted and burnt-out with the demands of classroom life. So I would pause teaching life.

 

With a sigh of relief, I would pack my bags and take off across the world for freedom, adventure, connection and sun. I would volunteer, stay with families, herd goats, rescue turtles, learn how to surf, explore off-grid living, and collect many experiences that have shaped the person I am today!  I developed a love of emotional literacy, authentic communication and sacred therapuetic practises. All these things gave my heart belonging, beauty and growth. However, a stable life always called me back...
 

Eventually I missed working with children and I felt I could integrate my new knowledge, understanding, passion and excitement back into the classroom. But my heart still beat for something different. I realised I was longing to create something beyond the traditional education system.

Creative Connections grew from this place.

With my background in teaching and art education, I bring together my love of creativity, connection and authentic expression to create spaces where children and adults can explore, play, share and reconnect with themselves and others.

 

Alongside my work, I will be studying counselling as I continue to deepen my understanding and expand the ways I can support people in the future.
